Senior Formula

A molasses-coated, “sweet pellet” for senior and geriatric horses. Designed by KER to meet the unique nutrient requirements of mature and older horses. Senior Formula will help maintain desired body condition, while promoting good health and longevity. Highly digestible, easily chewed ingredients promote good consumption, while supporting good gastrointestinal health. Density: 1.15 lb per quart.

  • Bartlett Senior Formula is specifically formulated for older horses. Feed rates of 0.5 to 1.0 lb of Bartlett Senior Formula per 100 lb body weight per day are typical. Higher feed rates (1.5 lb per 100 lb body weight) are appropriate for some horses (poor teeth, hard keepers, high activity). Feed this product in no less than two feedings per day. Never feed more than 0.5 lb per 100 lb body weight in a single feeding. Adjust feed rate to maintain desired body condition. Feed a minimum of 1% of body weight per day of good quality forage (hay or pasture). Provide clean water and salt free-choice. Feed is perishable – do not use this feed if it is moldy, smells musty, or has been contaminated by insects or rodents. Store in a cool, dry area to extend freshness.
