Bartlett’s Statesville, North Carolina Mill is Now an Ionophore-Free Manufacturing Facility

KANSAS CITY, MO (August 9, 2021) – Bartlett, a Savage Company, is pleased to announce its feed mill in Statesville, NC, is now an ionophore-free feed manufacturing facility. Just north of Charlotte, NC, the Statesville mill is optimally located to serve the mid-Atlantic region of the United States.

“We’re excited to be one of a small number of ionophore-free manufacturing facilities producing animal feeds on the East Coast,” said Bob Pike, Business Manager at Bartlett’s Statesville facility. “While we’ve always employed safeguards to separate different animal feeds, having a production facility and mixing systems that are completely free of ionophores provides an added level of comfort for horse owners.”

Bartlett produces and delivers a wide range of specially formulated feeds for beef and dairy cattle, horses, swine, poultry, sheep, dogs, game birds, rabbits, deer and goats. Its feeds are available at retail outlets throughout North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia, including at Bartlett distribution centers in Goldsboro and Shelby, NC; Florence, SC; and Rustburg, VA. The Company offers custom feeds in addition to toll milling for commercial feed users.

The Statesville mill is one of eight Bartlett milling facilities in the Mid-Atlantic states and the Midwest, producing flours for bakeries, distribution centers, restaurants and other Customers, and is the Company’s sole mill producing animal feeds for livestock and pets. Recently, it was announced that Bartlett will be investing to expand its facility in Wilson’s Mills, NC to add a new production line that will primarily process area farmers’ soft wheat crops.
